At INRS, you learn through research. As soon as you arrive, you’ll be integrated into a research team, where you’ll benefit from specialized training in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment.
INRS programs of study are thematic and non-disciplinary. Whether you study in water or geosciences, energy and materials sciences, urban or population studies, virology and immunology, or applied microbiology, you will acquire the knowledge and skills you need to become one of the scientific leaders of tomorrow.
Our graduate programs cover four main areas of research:
We offer Master’s and PhD programs, professional Master’s programs, short or customized academic programs, and dual-degree programs with partner universities in various countries.
Depending on the program you choose, you will be enrolled at one of our four research and training centres located in Quebec City, Montreal, Laval, and Varennes.
The choice of your research supervisor will guide the subject of your work.
If you studied in a country other than Canada or in a province other than Quebec, check the degree equivalency, which is the minimum diploma required to start a study program at INRS.
