The main objective of Professor Jerôme Comte research program is to identify the response mechanisms of microbial communities to environmental disturbances and assess the impacts on the structure and functioning of aquatic ecosystems.

Short biography
Before coming to INRS, Dr. Comte has worked as a scientist at the Canada Centre for Inland Waters of Environment and Climate change Canada in Ontario. Previously he had completed two postdoctoral training, one at the Department of Ecology and Genetics - Limnology at Uppsala University in Sweden and the other with Takuvik joint Université Laval (Quebec)/CNRS (France) Laboratory.
